Where Wellync data comes from and how far to trust it
The Wellync gym directory currently lists 244 gyms in 10 cities. Of these, 243 were imported automatically from the open map data of Overture Maps and nobody has called each one to check, so some may be closed or at the wrong address. Please check with the gym before you go.
Where does gym information come from?
243 gyms come from Overture Maps release 2026-10-21.0, using only records under the CDLA Permissive 2.0 licence, which allows reuse. I filtered by gym category, confidence of 0.77 or above, a street number and the 10 cities, then skimmed the list to remove places in other provinces or that are not gyms.
The remaining gym comes from OpenStreetMap under the ODbL licence. Each gym page states its source.
What does the status on a gym page mean?
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Not confirmed | Imported automatically by Wellync from open map data, not confirmed by the gym | Check with the gym before you go |
| Verified | Wellync has checked this gym's information | Still ask about prices and hours, as they can change |
As of the date above, all 244 gyms are not confirmed.
What can Wellync not do yet?
- Nobody has called each gym, and I have not measured how accurate the information is.
- These gyms have no prices, opening hours or amenities yet. Until an owner confirms them, those fields stay empty rather than guessed.
- There are no ratings, because there are no real reviews yet.
What does Wellync not take?
- Wellync does not copy names, addresses or prices from Google Maps, because Google's terms do not allow it.
- Wellync does not copy photos from a gym's Facebook page or website. Photos appear only with the owner's consent.
- Wellync does not publish phone numbers from automated data, so gym pages have no number to call yet. If a gym has a website or social media page, its page links there so you can ask.
Where do I report a mistake?
Each gym page has a section called "Is something wrong here?". Choose a reason and send it, no account needed. Please leave out phone numbers and personal details.
Can payment change verification results?
No. Verification and money are kept separate in the data design, so a gym paying fees later cannot change a verification result.
I am Vũ Hải, the founder of Wellync and also CEO of Ladysfit, a gym chain. I disclose this so you can weigh it yourself.
I own a gym. How do I correct or remove it?
Send the details through the For gym owners page or email fitnessviet@gmail.com.
