About Wellync
Where different needs find each other and create value together.
The name
Wellync is pronounced /wel-link/. Well means healthy. Lync points to link and sync: connecting and moving in step. This is where people whose work helps others get healthier connect.
Where it started
In 2016 I built gymlocal.vn to list gyms and help freelance trainers see which ones let them bring clients in, and on what terms. After 14 years in the fitness industry, that question still has no good home. Wellync picks up from there.
Three sides
- Trainers use it free and never pay to be seen by gyms.
- Gyms are the side that will pay later, for things like hiring. There is no charge right now.
- Members use it free.
The rule
Verification and money are kept apart in the data design itself. A gym that pays later still cannot change a verification result.
